Teacher Statement
Flute lessons are the best way to allow each student to grow at an accelerated rate through individual practice and plans tailored to his/her own strengths, weaknesses, and interests. I am always open to using new teaching methods and music to instill a firm background in tone production, technical proficiency, and musical expression. Most lessons consist of some combination of tone exercises, scales, articulation studies, etudes, solo and ensemble music, and basic music theory training, however each student is treated as an individual. I will work with the student and parents to set out a plan for success!
Background
Ms. Busman has been teaching lessons for over 10 years. She has experience teaching elementary, middle, and high school students, as well as taught flute lessons at the Community College of Baltimore County. She is currently the flute professor at UNCP.
Location
Lessons are given at Jacob’s Hall at UNCP and the home studio in Fayetteville, NC.
